I know our thirsty yard is glad to be soaking up all of this rain – but does it have to rain so much? You would think having grown up in Portland, Oregon that rain would be something I would feel quite at home with:) I love this beautiful rainy day scripture found in Isaiah. Drip down O heavens from above, and let the clouds pour down righteousness. Isaiah 45:8 May I soak up your righteousness as my yard is soaking up the rain. photo by Sue M. Wilson
Think about your bedroom…
Clearing out everything that doesn’t belong there is a great start to a great sleep. Investing time in this space will give you multiples in return, when you have your very own retreat to enjoy – anytime!! Check out Home Matters chapter 5 for more help in creating a bedroom retreat.
Be encouraged, and don’t despise small beginnings! Most of us (me included) want our homes de-cluttered and organized overnight! All that beauty lies within the bud, and will eventually come into full bloom! Just like this bud, you have what it takes to create and maintain a beautiful home! Just – be – patient with yourself; every little thing you are doing matters in your Home …
Display on a tray & it will be easier to clear away, when you need space on your table…
YIKES! It used to be so easy!
Find the remotes you need toss them in a basket … Or in another container… Velcro a remote to a wall mounted tv, or to a tv that you are not using – then you will know where it is! This works great when you are consolidating to one remote..
Ok I admit it! I’m a “basket case” – I love baskets – they corral our “stuff” in an attractive way! It’s hard to misplace a basket! Designate one for each “messy” family member. Direct & demonstrate what you desire, and then dispose (hide from them) everything you find on the floor:). They’ll get the idea & will enjoy knowing where their treasures are!
PS: this works in any “catch all” area
The set of three baskets work well on a shelf… The larger type work well on the floor…
I’ll bet you already have something you could use – get started you’ll be amazed how well this works!
Another stress reducer is to keep what you need by the door. Like your purse, gift, item to return to the store, etc. Your less likely to forget it this way! You can make this area neater by placing needed items in a basket:))
Sometimes I place the items I don’t want to forget in the car – on the front seat:))?
Reduce your “exit” stress by corralling what you’ll need close to the door like: keys, sunglasses, wallet, mail to be posted etc.
This will save you ⏲ time in not having to go back into the house to ? look for these items!

#1 thing you can do to reduce stress in your home:
Go to your front door & invite the presence of the Lord in!
Right after we got the keys, Len & I prayed over our new home – inviting the presence of our Lord in and telling any other spirit to go in Jesus name:)))))
We will move in once the dust has settled! Walls coming down, floors being replaced, wallpaper removed – and that was just the first day – haha!
